2moods is a Congolese-born artist from Kinshasa, known for blending Hip-Hop, Rap, and Afro sounds with poetic depth and raw emotion. Based in Canada since 2015, he has created a unique space in the music scene with thought-provoking lyrics and genre-bending soundscapes.
2moods released his powerful single “Gospel” on May 3rd, 2024. He is now gearing up to drop his debut album, Humanism, in May 2025. This ambitious project explores identity, resilience, and justice through storytelling and sonic innovation. Ahead of the album, he’ll release “Patriotique” in February 2025, a landmark collaboration with Congolese music legend Jean Goubald.
He’s shared stages with heavyweights, including opening for Dadju in 2023, and builds momentum through music and community. In 2024, he partnered with Français pour l’Avenir to champion francophone representation, and in 2025 he was a guest artist at the Men of Honor Conference, reinforcing his role as a cultural voice.
2moods contributed to the official theme song for the AfroMusic Fest in Edmonton, solidifying his role as a cultural connector. He inspires and elevates francophone voices by merging French rap and Afro-rooted rhythms in a sound that’s both personal and globally resonant.
